I like to join the metaphysical to the science of crystals and minerals. Australian Zebra Stone
Australian zebra stone - the true primordial stone
Name given to a type of Argillite, found only near Lake Argyle in Western Australia. This is a sedimentary stone comprising of Quartz, Detrital Clay where's inclusions of iron oxide (any form of hematite) that have compacted in a very distinct happening a very earthy Reds, brown, beige and almost a slightly pink colouring; forming in unique ways from perfectly straight layers, wavy bands that seem to camouflage into each other and even in some cases spots and Ollie shaped stripes. This is a very rare stone believed till formed approximately 60 million years ago. It was only located mia lake Argyle, in the eastern Kimberleys of Western australia, until can you deposit was found in 2011 at Newry on the western Australia - northern Territory border. However, due to how rare these particular stone is in 2017 it was listed as protected to conserve this beautiful landscape from losing this highly unique patterning of Rock not seen anywhere else. There are however other forms of australian zebra stone coming from other places like Coober Pedy, these are however, very pale in comparison and our type of sandstone wear a zebra stone from the Kimberleys is a form of siltstone and not sandstone.

Natural Citrine
Trace amounts of iron in the crystalline structure, that have been exposed to temperatures above 140°C (284°F) which depletes the crystal of its iron inclusions changing its colour from darker black/brown colour to the yellow colour we associate with Citrine. This is why Citrine is primarily found in amongst Smoky Quartz deposits. However, most Citrine available on the market is Heat Treated Amethyst, which is darker yellow to burnt orange in colour. HTA Citrine can occur naturally due to hydrothermal vents, where steam breaks through the surrounding rock, however the major of this is created after it has been brought out of the ground, and usually requires heating the Amethyst slowly to a temperature of 500°C for up to 8 hours, or alternatively from exposure to medium wavelength UV light for a period of 3 months. This colour is also achieved through the same process of the heat depleting the traces of iron from within the crystalline structure, leaving a beautiful golden coloured crystal.

HOW CRYSTAL LUMINOSITY ENHANCES THE METAPHYSICAL ASPECTS OF A CRYSTAL AT THIS TIME OF NEW ENERGY
Only around 15% of minerals have luminosity, this is either due to the presence of specific impurities, known as activator elements, that cause luminosity to occur within a mineral. Activators are usually a combination of trace metals such as Tungsten, Molybdenum, Lead, Titanium, Uranium, Boron, Manganese and Chromium. Sometimes activators present within the mineral are RARE EARTH ELEMENTS; Dysprosium, Terbium, Europium and Yttrium are also known to contribute to fluorescence phenomenon displayed from some minerals.
These fluorescence effects within a mineral could also be caused by organic impurities, or even structural defects in the mineral at the time of formation, or even due to damage within the crystal structure that has attempted to repair, also assisting in those organic activator elements becoming trapped or deposited within the mineral.
If there are trace metals, such as Iron or Copper, that are also present within the mineral this can significantly reduce, and in some cases, completely eliminate the fluorescence from occurring in a mineral that may other wise be known to display luminosity.
EXPLORING TYPES OF LUMINOSITY
Fluorescence, this word actually comes from the stone Fluorite, and how well this stone displayed luminosity when exposed to UV and refers to a stone that simply lights up when exposed to UV, this change to it's luminosity only lasts for as long as the UV exposure lasts.
Phosphorescence, this is the slow release of the light after the UV light exposure has stopped. This is due to the way light is trapped within the electron, making it jump to a higher orbital state and thus holds the light and slowly emits it over a long period as these electrons move to their natural resting state.
Triboluminescene is stones which do not require to be exposed to UV light but instead light up due to being struck, fractured, rubbed or any type of pressure which releases photons already trapped within the crystal being released at once, however unlike the previous types of luminosity, this effect will only occur once as the crystal structure is usually broken to achieve this.
Alexandrite is also a luminous stone, however it does not get it's luminosity from UV, but infrared. It is a green gemstone found in Zimbabwe which under artificial light, particularly infrared light even from a simple candle, will give the stone the appearance of glowing Ruby red. This is used in a lot of high end military sensors on weapons and other precision equipment as the infrared spectrum this stone glows is unable to be recreated even with the technology we have today.
Nothing occurs by accident in nature. This luminosity may seem random but I do not believe it is at all, I believe that the different states on luminosity have the ability to really do things our technology is not aware of and I don't think science has looked far enough into. Throughout history many cultures mentioned glowing stones, different stone were positioned in different places, and even the documented artefacts referred as sun mirrors, or the attempts to trap the suns rays within a mirror or stone of some kind.
METAPHYSICAL
Obviously, all minerals reflect light in some capacity, it is what sets them apart from dirt and makes them visible. But only very few minerals have the ability to briefly absorb a small amount of light, or energy from that light and release it slowly back as light, which to the eye of the observer appears to be a different spectrum of light than the light that created the luminosity.
The light has not changed, nor is it releasing less light than absorbed, but does to the way this excites the electrons within the structure of the atomic structure of the mineral, it simply alters the wavelength of the light, thus giving it the appearance of a different colour of light, due to the way the human eye differentiates colour using frequency.
By creating luminosity, we are bending that frequency given off by the UV light spectrum, into a spectrum that is not visible to us for a fraction of a second and begins to emit this frequency out as what appears to be a different spectrum of light bringing those energies of the unknown realm into a vibration our conscious reality is able to interpret.
Depending on the behaviour of the photons within the mineral during its state of luminosity, this produces slight changes to the scalar waves within the surrounding environment, slightly altering the Morphic fields(?), thus when changes in the wavelength of light bends and vibrates slightly past the governing laws of matter within this dimension allowing us to better receive information from these new energy frequencies and vibrations currently being displayed within not only Earth, but also our Solar system that are being felt by so many of us - particularly over our emotional state of being.
In short, this new state of luminosity has the potential to bring information from higher planes into our earthly realm.
In my belief, much more could be achieved by exploring these different phenomenon within minerals and see what they can truly achieve, as many ancient cultures referenced not just crystals but described crystals doing different things that we are only just finding today to be true. We assume with the scientific approach we take towards research that such things are not possible, but seeing as science still is unable to explain how megalithic sites found around the world were created, then maybe we need to start looking at so many things such as "glowing rocks" as less beliefs held due to folklore of the different cultures and begin looking at why they might reference these, and why these references havent died throughout the hundreds and in some cases thousands of years the legends have been passed down for so many generations.

I really need some help.... I don't want to focus on the negative anymore, anything that distracts me from being creative and expressing that in what ever way ever way you share you soul with this world (art, music, poetry, sport, decoration, joy, love and coming together with my people so we can vibe on a whole is a distraction from my true soul purpose. We have all been asking ourself "What can I do to improve this situation?" I can't do anything as a person to raise the Vibration by myself. CAN YOU ALL ASSIST ME, PLEASE? On the 21st December, at 12pm (noon) could you assist me by building a carn (stone stack) at the height in any area you can, build it with good intentions for the year to come, send out love and good vibrations with that stone stack, envision the energy that flows from yours hitting other stone stacks and amplifying each time it passes from one to the other and going out over the entire World.... I thought of what impact the mediation experiments had over cities with as little as 20 people focusing their energy and mediating over one city crime rates dropped, people felt happier and more focused, imagine if we are all setting intentions world wide, we could raise the vibration of this planet. I have asked friends and have people from Australia, America , Egypt , Pakistan , Thailand , Indonesia , Canada , Germany and New Zealand currently helping me. It doesn't have to be a big Carn, any 3 stones that stack will be enough, and you can spend a minute or two doing this, or maybe you might like to take this time out to mediate, help us push that energy over this World as raise the vibration together

Did you know - crystals can give off different reactions when exposed to different spectrums of light, for example - Lapis Lazuli is a Phosphorescent mineral emitting an orange light when exposed to s-UV, fluorite displays what we know as fluorescence.... the word fluorescent actually comes from fluorite because of this luminous phenomenon. Alexandrite is a green stone that when exposed to candle light (a natural form of intrared light spectrum) will glow ruby red.....
Some crystals even have a luminosity phenomenon when under other circumstances as well like thermoluminescence (some minerals are capable of luminosity when exposed to temperatures between 50°C and 450°C) and there is one more type of luminosity, does anyone know what it is?
